New video: Everyone Matters: Dignity and Safety for Transgender People

The following video addresses employment and hate crimes issue for trans people in the U.S. . Many of the issues (regardless of the laws Canada has on the books) are also faced by trans Canadians. The video was produced by GLAD (Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders) a New England advocacy group working to end discrimination based on sexual orientation, HIV status, and gender identity and expression.

Jan26Kennedytee GAP; As an older woman, who has had her share of lovers in her life and been mirared twice, I have both the experience and the understanding that yes, sometimes people marry older persons, engaging in relationships that defy the norm, but for Sam Adams to have engaged in Kissing with Beau Breedlove on two occasions, BEFORE the boy turned 18, when Breedlove was STILL a minor, as Mr. Breedlove has now confessed to the Oregonian Newspaper recently, then obviously one can see the danger that Adams has no respect for either the law, (Laws against sexual contact with minors) nor does he have an understanding of what appropriate behavior is. I will reiterate my statement that for a man with advanced degrees, in public service, in a position of some authority and subsequent responsibility, to have a sexual relationship with a recently graduated High School Student is an indication of a large gap in the POWER deferential. This is considered unethical by educated people for a variety of perfectly valid reasons. Now, as to Breedlove, I am certain he is a well spoken and intelligent young man, but he is not college educated and in my mind, that puts him at a disadvantage. You can entertain romantic notions about true love and all that immature jazz but the reality is Adams took advantage of a young, inexperienced and naive teen aged boy, adult or not. Adams lied about it, made negative allusions to Bob Balls character and attempted to do damage control by hiring Amy Ruiz to be on his team and therefore unable to share unflattering information of his potentially illegal and certainly unethical conduct with others once she was hired by him, which would have been an obvious conflict of interests. His behavior shows a propensity for deception, political mud slinging and a disregard for the law. For this reason, I believe he is unsuitable as mayor of Portland. You can think what you wish but it won't change my perceptions, not one little bit. Thank you for your input, it only further drives home my points.

You know what's funny is I donated to them last year, and the post ofcife keeps opening their mail to me (like with a little official opened for inspection stamp and a special sticker to re-seal the envelope). Someone who works there must keep thinking the name sounds suggestive or something. I feel like sending them an educational pamphlet but they ARE reading the materials in the envelope!

Recently on Facebook a friend of mine topsed about a rally in downtown LA by the uber-fierce kickass LA County Labor Fed called Rally for the American Dream . A local young LGBT activist friend topsed that she was So over the American dream thing and I let her have it with both barrels including the world's shortest history of labor including the struggle for racial equality, fair wages and the goddamn weekend. I think did say something kinda shitty comparing that changing the bathrooms at the LA Gay and Lesbian center, but I was hot. She responded defensively, and my FTM friend Jake topsed Hanna; shut up, Darya's right, and you know it I'd like to labor queered up even more, but they are at least trying, for Chrissakes, even the stodgy one I'm in;IATSE.Thanks for posting this.

Rick, I totally agree. However good maganement also means taking care of your employees and helping that creativity, no matter which direction it goes right? Although I enjoy the office decor, I would much rather have a good boss!

My wife was followed by meiidvws and was planning not to have epidural during her labor. However her water broke a little bit early (week 38) and was transferred to the hospital where she got simulated. Her pain was unbearable and she eventually had the drug. Still, in her next pregnancy hopefully she will have it all natural. Good luck!

Yes, I have formed an opinion, and it has two points. One: God (or, in the case of the atheist homosexual, the creator ) would not devise a method for procreation and then not include members of His (or the creator s ) creation in the plan (in other words, why make a creation that would have to be created new each time, instead of giving them the desire to create their own little copies?);and two: aside from the physical issues, aside from the homosexuality is a sin issue, the fact that homosexuals are engaging in fornication, a sin in and of itself, is enough to send them to damnation.
